NRFMTTI achieves CMVR testing approval for Agricultural Tractors
The Northern Region Farm Machinery Training & Testing Institute (NRFMTTI), Hisar, Haryana, one of the prime institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, has reached a new milestone by attaining CMVR (Central Motor Vehicle Rules) testing approval for agricultural tractors. This added approval is besides its already existing strength in the testing of Combine Harvesters, further establishing NRFMTTI as a prime performer in agricultural machinery testing in the region.
In a concurrent development, the institute has also been granted NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accreditation for carrying out CMVR testing on agricultural tractors and combine harvesters. Manufacturers, regulators, and end users can all feel more confident knowing that the testing labs meet worldwide standards for quality and technical proficiency thanks to NABL accreditation.
This Dual recognition is a significant advancement in the institute’s ability and will be an important resource for tractor equipment manufacturers, especially in Northern India, by providing proximity-based high-quality test facilities. The presence of CMVR-conforming tests at NRFMTTI will considerably simplify the compliance procedure for tractor makers, saving both time and logistics of transporting equipment to far-off testing facilities.
The CMVR certification is essential for vehicles, including agricultural tractors and harvesters, to be legally sold and operated in India.
