From the return of the flat tax, small government and investments in agriculture, to European integration, the fight against corruption and stopping the exodus of white shirts, the official DP shows some details from the program

The official Democratic Party revealed yesterday some of the main points of its electoral program, with which it will seek the vote of citizens for the next parliamentary elections. The President of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, within the framework of the meetings for the finalization of the program of the Democratic Party, held discussions with agricultural experts. Basha says that the widespread corruption has also affected agriculture. He also says that through subsidies and investments in this sector, we will make it possible for the farmer to be guaranteed that the production will be sold at a profit, as anywhere in the world. “With its plan, DP will prioritize agriculture. Not only is government funding for agriculture allocated according to preference rather than need, but EU IPARD funds, instead of going to farmers, have gone to resorts for governors and their clients. Therefore, ending impunity at every level of government and fighting corruption without compromise would enable the government to have sufficient funds to support the agricultural sector and increase the purchasing power of citizens. Through subsidies and investments in this sector, we will make it possible for the farmer to be guaranteed that the production will be sold at a profit, as anywhere in the world. One of the most important issues, which we will do everything to provide a quick solution, is the issue of property”, Basha wrote yesterday on social networks.

CORRUPTION

Furthermore, during the meetings for the program, with experts in the field and working groups, the president of the DP discussed the project of the DP for health in the next meeting. The democratic leader himself, in a post on “Facebook”, has given some details of this program. “With the health team, we discussed our plan that will provide citizens with quality and speedy health services. While millions of euros is the corrupt bill for health concessions, today Albanians spend up to 60% more money out of pocket for medical services and treatments. This is the highest figure among the Balkan countries, which shows the difficult situation in the health sector. In the same way, citizens are suffering the consequences of low-quality medicines, while the list of reimbursed medicines includes the cheapest ones, which have less effect. Another problem is the lack of equipment and the long time patients have to wait for examinations. With the money that has been misused with concessions, the tender PPP, any responsible government would have provided a quality service to patients where they live and would have improved the working and financial conditions of the medical staff. The exodus of doctors does not stop by “imprisoning” them in Albania, but by creating conditions and opportunities for a dignified life, for professional growth and conditions to exercise their profession. All the problems have been addressed in detail, offering the necessary solutions so that the health insurance contributions that the citizens have paid do not go to waste and they have health services at any time and quality medicines for the treatment of their illnesses”, he announced. Integration

Meanwhile, Chief Democrat Lulzim Basha addressed the integration process and DP plan for this mission of Albania, during the meeting with the working group for the program and experts in the field. “European integration and facing the security challenges that the region and Europe are facing today are a priority of the PD governing program. We discussed the finalization of our program with the group of experts. We will have a clear plan of action, coordination and cooperation to fulfill the obligations arising on the road to integration. In these challenging times for security, the country needs a clear strategy for defense, modernization of its armed forces and coordination with our partners for our security architecture, which will contribute to Albanians and not only to the region . Security challenges in the region must be addressed as a priority in the face of constant threats coming from Serbia. The appearance of President Vu?i? with the infamous symbol of three fingers, used by those who caused crimes and genocide in the Balkans, is a bad signal for the peace and stability of our region. The projects of the Serbian world articulated by Vu?i? and Dodik aim at the division of the Republic of SRPSKA, the destabilization of Montenegro and Kosovo, a scenario which started but failed in the north of Kosovo on September 24, 2023. Albania must and will play a more proactive role in the region and will not hesitate in its support for Kosovo. What I have requested for Kosovo, an annual financing in military aid, in the amount of 50 million euros, we will have as part of our program. We must put an end to the tradition of folklore support for Kosovo. But let’s coordinate the Albanian political agendas and factors in Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro, to guarantee the peace and stability of the region”, underlined Basha on social networks yesterday.
